Some weekends are packed before they even start. Games, errands, parties, all the things we said yes to when we had a little more energy. And then there are Friday nights when the best plan is absolutely no plan at all.
We're big believers in both. We love a good trip, a football weekend, a lake day, or a whole Saturday outside. But staying home counts as leisure, too. You don't have to leave the house or have something impressive to show for your free time.
If you're ready for a Friday night with nowhere to be, here are a few ideas. Pick one, ignore the rest, and call it a good night.
1. Watch the movie you already know by heart
Not every movie night needs a new release. Sometimes the fun is in knowing every line. Put your phone across the room, make a snack, and choose something that feels familiar. Halloween weekend? Go with your favorite not-too-scary movie. Already thinking about Christmas? We won't judge a holiday movie in October.
There's something about the holidays from when we were kids: the VHS tapes, the giant TV, the wish lists written on paper. That's the whole feeling behind our It Was Merrier in the '90s ringer tee. We made it for people who still remember rewinding the movie before taking it back.

2. Put something on the table that doesn't have a deadline
A puzzle, a coloring book, a stack of cards, a tiny craft project. Leave it out. Work on it for ten minutes or two hours. We love the idea of a project that doesn't need to be finished tonight, or even this weekend.
It's easy to turn hobbies into another to-do list, especially when you spend your days making things. But you can make something just because you like it. No content, no sale, no perfect final photo required.
3. Make the easy version of a favorite snack
We love the idea of baking cookies, but we also believe that a ready-to-bake tray counts. Make popcorn. Put a few things on a plate and call it a snack board. Pour whatever you actually like to drink. A cozy night doesn't need a grocery run and a two-hour recipe.
If you're already in Christmas baking mode, our North Pole Cookie Co. vintage sweatshirt has that old-fashioned cookies-and-holiday-movies feeling. It's an ash Gildan crewneck with a smaller, centered Christmas graphic. And yes, it's perfectly acceptable to wear a Christmas sweatshirt while eating store-bought cookies.

4. Read a chapter—or just look at the books you want to read
Some nights you read half a book. Other nights you read three pages and fall asleep. Both are fine. Make a comfortable spot, turn on a lamp, and give yourself permission to enjoy a little quiet.
We made our 'Tis the Season to Be Reading candle for bookish people and their cozy corners. It's a six-ounce vanilla soy candle in a glass jar with a Christmas reading illustration. If you light a candle, keep it on a heat-safe surface and never leave it unattended.

5. Let the evening be ordinary
Maybe you fold laundry with a movie on. Maybe you sit with the dog. Maybe you do nothing at all. You don't need to turn a quiet night into a self-care routine with seven steps. Sometimes it's enough to be home, comfortable, and off the clock.
That's what we mean when we say Find your free time. The Leisure Club isn't a place you have to go or something you have to buy. It's an open invitation to make room for what you enjoy, wherever that happens to be.
